Alvin J. Walker Graduate Fellowship
Eligibility:
Established by the estate of the late Alvin J. Walker. Awarded on the basis of academic merit to a student entering the M.B.A. program.

Association Des M.b.a. Du Québec Award
Eligibility:
This prize will be awarded to a graduating student on the basis of academic performance, and proven leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
Value:
$1,000.
 
DEAN'S Medal for Great Distinction in the M.B.A. Program
A sterling silver medal will be awarded each Spring by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee to the leading student in the full‑time M.B.A. program.
 
DESAUTELS M.B.A. ENTRANCE AWARD
Each year the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee awards a limited number of Desautels M.B.A. Entrance Fellowships.
Eligibility:
The selection is based on academic excellence.

$3,000 to full tuition.
 
Donald E. ARmstrong Award
Established by Seymour Schulich, B.Sc. 1961, M.B.A. 1965, and Lawrence Bloomberg, M.B.A. 1965, in 1996 in honour of Donald E. Armstrong, founding Director of McGill's Graduate School of Commerce.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee on the basis of high academic standing, proven leadership skills and active involvement in the community to a student in the M.B.A. program. Candidates must submit an application and financial form.
Value:
Minimum $3,000.

Dr. Peter Briant Award For Entrepreneurship
Established by Seymour Schulich in memory of Professor Peter Briant, a teacher and mentor to many in the Desautels Faculty of Management.
Eligibility:
Awarded to Canadian students in the first year of the full-time M.B.A. program by the Desautels Faculty of Management. This award will be granted on the basis of entrepreneurial experience, potential and general scholastic ability. Candidates must submit an application, a statement providing evidence of entrepreneurial potential, a curriculum vitae and financial form.

$3,500.
 
Edward Ballon Graduate Award In Management
Established in 1998 by the John Dobson Foundation in honour of Edward M. Ballon, B.A. 1947, a distinguished graduate who, while a student at McGill, was captain of the McGill Track Team, President of the Students' Society of McGill and President of the Students Athletics Council. He later became President of the McGill Graduate Society and a member of the Board of Governors of the University.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee to a full-time student entering the M.B.A. program on the basis of high academic standing, demonstrated leadership skills through involvement in extra-curricular activities and participation in a competitive sport. Candidates must be Canadian citizens.
Value:
$2,000 - $2,500.
Application:
Applicants must submit a one-page statement detailing their involvement in extra-curricular activities and participation in a competitive sport. The statement must be submitted at the time of application to the program.
 
Executive Development Institute (E.d.i.) Bursary
Eligibility:
Awarded on the basis of work experience and financial need to Canadian students entering the second year of the full-time M.B.A. program from the part-time M.B.A. program.
Value:
Maximum $2,000.
Application:
Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee upon recommendation by the Student Aid Office. Candidates must submit a curriculum vitae and a financial aid form.
 
FONDATION PIERRE ARBOUR
The Board of Directors of the newly established foundation is pleased to announce the launching of activities of this charitable organization whose mission consists in helping students to pursue advanced studies at the Master's and Doctorate levels. The Foundation was created on December 30th, 2005 thanks to the donation of the assets of Alkebec Inc., an investment firm owned by Pierre Arbour. Deserving students in financial need will be selected for academic studies susceptible to promoting Quebec's economic growth in the following disciplines: Business Administration (M.B.A.), engineering, and computer science.
Eligibility:
Candidates must complete the online application form found at www.fondationarbour.ca and submit it along with their M.B.A. application. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants with permanent residency in Quebec pursuing their M.B.A. on a full-time basis. Applicants cannot be holders of a Master’s degree prior to commencing their M.B.A. studies.

$8,000 (renewable).
 
GUIZZETTI GENDRON MBA LEADERSHIP AWARD
Established in 2010 by Liana Guizzetti and Louis Gendron, both M.B.A. 1988. Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management M.B.A. Scholarships Committee to a graduate student enrolled in the M.B.A. program in the Desautels Faculty of Management who demonstrates strong leadership qualities. Preference will be given to students from Quebec.

Awarded by the Master's Programs Office of the Desautels Faculty of Management to an M.B.A. student on the basis of strong leadership qualities
Value:
Up to $14,000 (non-renewable).
Application:
Eligible students wishing to be considered should submit appropriate documentation supporting their strong leadership qualities.
 
H.E. Herschorn Graduate Scholarship
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee; no application necessary. Established in 1965, tenable by a student entering either the first or the ­second year of the M.B.A. program. Open to Canadian students only.
Value:
Up to $4,800.
 
JOHN CHAMBERS BEST IN THE WEST MBA FELLOWSHIPS
Established in 2011 by John Chambers M.B.A. 1992, in order to support students in the M.B.A. program.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Master's Programs Office of the Desautels Faculty of Management to outstanding M.B.A. students from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba on the basis of academic merit. Preference will be given to students with an academic background in Math, Science and/or Engineering.

LAURENTIAN BANK MBA LEADERSHIP AWARDS
Established in 2011 by the Laurentian Bank of Canada.
Eligibility:
Support for outstanding M.B.A. students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities in the Desautels Faculty of Management. Awarded to full-time students by the Master's Programs Office of the Desautels Faculty of Management with a preference to students from the Province of Quebec.
Value:
$4,000 each; renewable for up to two years provided the holder maintains an academic standing satisfactory to the Master's Programs Office.
 
LINDA AND ROBERT J. GOLDBERGER MBA FELLOWSHIP
Established in 2009 by Linda H. Goldberger, B.S.W. 1978 and Robert J. Goldberger, M.B.A 1982, in order to support students entering the M.B.A program.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Master's Programs Office of the Desautels Faculty of Management to outstanding Canadian M.B.A. students on the basis of academic excellence.
Value:
$10,000 (non-renewable).
 
MARCEL A. DESAUTELS M.B.A. FELLOWSHIPS
Established in 2011 by Marcel A. Desautels, C.M., L.L.D. 2007, to support outstanding students entering the M.B.A. Program.

Awarded by the Master's Programs Office of the Desautels Faculty of Management to outstanding Canadian students on the basis of academic merit and leadership qualities.

MBA CLASS OF '81 PRIZE
Established in 2008 by the M.B.A. Class of '81. Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management M.B.A. Scholarships Committee to the M.B.A. student whose academic record is judged to be outstanding and who has demonstrated leadership qualities among those who graduate during the academic year.

PAUL TELLIER MBA FELLOWSHIPS
Established in 2010 by Paul Tellier, L.L.D. 2005.
Eligibility:
Awarded by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies upon recommendation of the Desautels Faculty of Management to outstanding M.B.A. students in the Desautels Faculty of Management.

Roger C. Bennett Prize in Marketing
Established in 1999 with the support of friends and family of the late Roger C. Bennett, distinguished Professor of Marketing (Desautels Faculty of Management), who had a zest for life.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee to a graduating M.B.A. student who has completed a Marketing concentration and has demonstrated academic achievement and community involvement.
Value:
Minimum $1,250.
 
SCOTIABANK FELLOWSHIPS
Established in 2010 by Scotiabank in order to support outstanding M.B.A. students in the Desautels Faculty of Management.
Eligibility:
Awarded by Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies upon the recommendation of the Desautels Faculty of Management, on the basis of academic merit. Preference will be given to students from Latin America and the Caribbean and those wanting to study on exchange in those regions.

Sheila Wellington Bmo Financial Group Award
Established by the Bank of Montreal in 1996 for students in the Desautels Faculty of Management.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Desautels Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee on the basis of high academic standing, leadership skills and community involvement to full-time students continuing in the M.B.A. or B.Com. program. Preference is given to female students in programs related to finance and/or economics.
Value:
$6,000 for graduate students and $2,000 for undergraduates.
Application:
Eligible students wishing to be considered for this award should submit a C.V. and appropriate documentation supporting their extra-curricular university or community contribution.
 
TIMOTHY THOMPSON FELLOWSHIP
Established in 2010 by Timothy Thompson, M.B.A. 1990, in order to support outstanding students entering the M.B.A. program.
Eligibility:
Awarded by the Master's Programs Office of the Desautels Faculty of Management to outstanding Canadian M.B.A. students on the basis of academic merit, demonstrated leadership, and community involvement.
